Wood pellets – Wood pellets is biofuel produced from wood shavings, wood chips and other woodworking wastes. Pellets are cylindrical granules of standard size.

Production process:

The resulting mass is fed into a dryer, and then it goes from the dryer to a pellet press where wood dust is compressed into pellets. Compression during pressing increases the temperature of the material, resin is released from the wood particles and it boils and glues them into tight cylinders. To produce one ton of pellets it takes 4-5 cubic meters of waste wood. Ready-made granules are cooled, packed and delivered to the consumer.  

Wood pellets is environmentally friendly fuel with ash content of 1.5% maximum. When burning pellets, atmospheric emissions of CO2 are as much as plants absorbed during their growth. Compared to standard wood, wood pellets have high dryness (8-12% of water content against 30-50% of water content in wood) and higher by about half density. These qualities provide a high heating value compared to the chips or fuel wood – when combustion of one ton of granules (pellets) approximately 5 thous. kW/h of heat is released, and this figure a half time exceeds the figure of the normal wood.

Wood pellets are divided into industrial (dark colored) and household (light colored).



Household (light colored) pellets are used for heating of dwelling houses through combustion in small boilers (pellet boilers), stoves and fireplaces. Generally, pellet diameter is 6—8 mm and length is 50 mm maximum, ash content is 0,5% maximum. Pellets are normally packed in 15-30 kg bags and laid down on pallets or packed in 800-1000 kg big bags. Industrial (dark colored) pellets with ash content of 1,5% maximum are burned in higher power boilers to get heat and power for settlements and industrial enterprises. Industrial pellets can have larger diameter.


Shipment of pellets is carried out by railway transport in bulk in grain cars (chopra) in batches of 50 tons on DAF basis – Belarusian border, or by road transport in 800-1000 kg big bags on FCA basis – warehouse of the Seller.

Fuel Briquettes Pini Kay is biofuel produced from wood chips by pressing, has the shape of oblong octagonal articles. This type of fuel is used for combustion in the plants operating on solid fuels to produce thermal and/ or electrical power for household needs.

Transportation conditions: the absence of atmospheric precipitation.

Storage conditions: to exclude the impact of water and aggressive media, as well as exposure to direct sunlight and sources of ignition. To store at 0⁰C to 30⁰C, relative humidity from 30% to 80%.

Arbolite is light concrete based on cement bonding agent, organic filling compounds (up to 80-90 % of the volume) and chemical admixtures. It is also known as wood concrete.
